Board of Trustees

Our Board is made up of three elected Parent Representatives, one elected Staff Representative, and the Principal. The Board of Trustees (BOT) is responsible to the Ministry of Education for the efficient running of the school. 

The BOT is elected every three years by the parents/caregivers of children enrolled at the school. The last Board election was held in 2025. Trustees may be either parents/caregivers or members of the wider school community.
Under the Education and Training Act 2020 and guidance from the Ministry of Education, the Board provides governance for the school. Its core responsibilities include:

• Setting the school’s strategic direction and targets in consultation with the community
• Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place and are regularly reviewed and adopted
• Overseeing the delivery of the curriculum
• Providing financial oversight and stewardship of school resources
• Overseeing property and ensuring health and safety requirements are met
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress, achievement, and wellbeing
• Ensuring the school meets its legal and regulatory obligations and complies with Ministry requirements

Board meetings are open to the public and are usually held on the Monday of Weeks 3 and 8 of each term at 6.30 pm. Minutes from full Board meetings are available to the public and can be viewed at school.
